For whatever reason, our backchecking stopped at the hashmarks last night. In the last 2 losses, our d-men were caught deep and pressured, then coughed up the puck and were late getting back. Call me crazy but I think this involves a minor tweak. Our d-men are too quick to jump in on offense. Theres two ways to deal with this. We run our D-men through some puck handling, passing and skating drills to make them more potent... or we stall /(Staal) our d-men on their way into the zone and wait till the puck is deeper.
