Peca Doesn't Join Our Mecca (8:45 PM)

Pucks on Broadway: Peca Not A Ranger

Agent Don Meehan confirmed moments ago that the Rangers did not make Peca a contract offer.

Meehan said that he expected to complete negotiation on a one-year deal for the 33-year-old center within a couple of hours. Columbus appears to be the city where the former Islanders captain will be playing his home games this season.

"Slats doesn't want him, but 'good luck to you and break a leg!'

  1. I know who you are dark ranger! Love it!! LOVE IT!! Your indepth knowledge makes me feel like I didn't even grow up in Canada. Shame I tell you!!!

  2. No one knows the true Dark Ranger (even Jo)...it is dark (i tell ya), dark in here!

    The Dark Ranger

  3. 1) Peca showed his true colors by folowing the money trail to Columbus. In NY at least he would be playing for a playoff if not Cup contendor.
    2) Columbus, though we think they made some good management decisions to boot McClean and hire a good coach in Hitch, they are still a LONG way from the playoffs, and Peca will NOT be a help!
    3) Ranger fans should be relived he 'chose' to not sign with NY. You saved some cap space and didn't spend for an over the hill greedy has-been! Can ya tell we're not Peca fans? LOL

  4. Amen Faux! The more I think about this weeks later, the better i feel that he chose to be a hero in Columbus as opposed to a secondary player with the Blueshirts.

Any offer of 'tickets at cost' is exactly that -- I have season tickets and will sell them for what I paid --- so no mark-ups.
