Every Little Bit Helps

A Win Against Montreal Tuesday = EVERYTHING!

As all NY Rangers fans understand the consequences of tomorrow's third-to-last game of the season against the Habs, a little good news was unearthed this afternoon:

from the CP via the Globe and Mail,

The Montreal Canadiens will be without defencemen Andrei Markov and Mathieu Schneider for Monday’s game against the Ottawa Senators.

It’s possible both players could also miss Tuesday night’s game against the Rangers in New York.

Neither veteran skated with the team Monday morning. A decision is to be made after Monday night’s game whether they will accompany the club to New York.

While the Rangers are tied with the Florida Panthers for the final and eighth slot of the playoff push, there are six potential points to win (Montreal/Tuesday, Philly/Thurs & Sun). So with Montreal potentially missing their blueline studs and the Rangers without capable 'D-men' of our own, perhaps it will be a wash!

All eyes in hockey will be watching to see if the Blueshirts can rise to the occasion. As you can imagine, none of us want the Philadelphia Flyers to determine the fate of our playoff run -- so the two points tomorrow night at the Garden makes this the most important game of the season thus far.

Let's Go Rangers!!!

  3. They will win it tomorrow. They play well against Montreal. Without his trusted Markov, Kovalev will be too busy contemplating the meaning of life to play a rough 'n tumble so late in the season.

  4. I predict the Rangers miss the playoffs by 1 point this year. A horrible year indeed it was. A huge disappointment. They do not play well against Philly. I predict a win against Montreal (but probably in OT). Even if they get the 8th seed, it does not look good in the playoffs. I have been a huge Ranger fan since the Whalers left town, but the hatred I have for the Dolan's has grown. Now that I am out in Ohio for graduate school, I have been watching more Columbus games. They have been great this year.

  5. Want to go on the record with a little 'look back':

    1. We took 6 out of 6 points this week to make the playoffs.

    2. LOL...Avery led the charge.

    3. DJ - you are right about Kovalev

    4 Justin....wrong.

Any offer of 'tickets at cost' is exactly that -- I have season tickets and will sell them for what I paid --- so no mark-ups.
