31 Penalties, Several Fights, Rangers Take Down Flyers 3-2

Here is a basic summary of the game:

The New York Rangers won tonight 3 to 2. That's it for hockey. The boxing match was as follows:
A total of 94 minutes in penalties were assessed, including 46 in the first period when New York's Chris Drury fought Richards and was given a major and a misconduct. The Rangers were given 54 minutes in penalties overall. Philadelphia's Jason Smith squared off with Colton Orr and Brendan Shanahan , and New York's Jason Strudwick fought Riley Cote in other bouts.

Pre-season is over. Our free agents feel like Rangers willing to take/give a hit. Everyone is whispering the Stanley Cup. Five days away and will be there with bells on!

Look for The Dark Ranger wearing a cape in Section 118 on Thursday - home opener.

  2. He definitely needed to make the impression last night and it appears that he shined! I like him too. I hope Staal sticks. Our young'ens Callahan, Girardi are bringing a great edge to the team. Exciting years ahead.

  3. 1) Reading your post about the up and coming younger Ranger defensemen made us reminisce about past 'prospects'.
    2) Then boom found a name from the (not so distant) past, Tomas Kloucek. Remember him? Apparently he's 'trying out' for an AHL job in Syracuse. haven't heard if the oft-injured Tomas has made the Crunch

  4. Was that 2002?...RIGHT!!!!, I was rooting for Tomas to be the next great thing as a Ranger. The poor guy wasn't picked up this year in free agency, but it seems like his whole career has been sidelined by injury....

Any offer of 'tickets at cost' is exactly that -- I have season tickets and will sell them for what I paid --- so no mark-ups.
