Slight Redemption Through The Canes

(As The Dark Ranger is still on holiday, special guest DA LAVES - a Hurricane fanatic - is our Blogger-du-jour for today):

AND it continues……another loss…..the uninspired 30th placed Canes walk through another amateur night of hockey to a sleepy crowd of hockey fans, playing with their new smart phones and not paying much attention to the game, or the one period the Canes showed up!

Had it not been for Cam Ward (even though he is ranked 33rd ) standing on his head and saving turning away over 30 shots, it should have been a 10-nil game, in the first period alone! The NYR stars, looking a bit slow, steadily dismantled the Canes D, throwing shots at the net all night, and chasing down the second and third rebounds, while the Canes D literally watched the game – its hard to watch our “burly” and creaky D line chase the puck around crease, and they forget that hockey allows checking and open ice hits on attacking opponents – I prefer to call the ESCORTS!

Offensively the Canes have potential, but Coach Mo changes lineups every game, pushing Staal to a wing tonight, and then we watched his bro shut him down…a team with no plan….How can a team fall so far in one half a season? – no changes to the team and re-signing players on the verge of retirement, trading talent away, and an owner who wont spend on good solid players!!!

GRRRR!!!

You know when fans get excited and the media announces another “new” player added to the roster – and it is another AHL player – the team is in trouble!!! Hats off to the three stars of the game: Gaborik – Drury – Ward.   I think the Canes players are all hoping to hop on a hot team before the trade deadlines…..there is no hope!

We are lost!! Cheers – Happy New Year – cya at Saturday’s game at MSG.

Any offer of 'tickets at cost' is exactly that -- I have season tickets and will sell them for what I paid --- so no mark-ups.
